news2/28/07 I can't believe it is already March...where does the time go. Well I am staying busy which is good because right now is the slow time for weddings. I have done 2 different shoots for the Lance Armstrong Survivor Clinic (LAFSC) and will be doing a third in 2 weeks. The shoots have been so much fun and so fulfilling. I have met 13 different survivors during these shoots and have been able to talk to them a little to hear what their story is. It is so inspiring to me and a reminder that life is so precious. In each session I try to capture what they are all about...what makes them who they are. That can be difficult to do in 30 minutes, but I think just talking to them and actually telling them my story and how I also am a survivor helps to relax them and then we just have fun. Their age ranges from 6 to 18 and I will be photographing some college aged survivors during Spring Break. All of the photos for the LAFSC will be done in black and white with the LiveSTRONG band(s) staying yellow. So far the results have been outstanding. I am so excited to see how it progresses. I will keep updating as I go. 1/25/07 I am starting a clean slate. This has been a crazy year. Kim and I made it through our first year of marraige unscathed. We have been having a great time together. I am truly blessed to have such a strong beautiful woman as my wife. This year will be about the both of us branching out to try new things. Kim recently got a full time position at Hill Country Christian School as a 6th grade teacher. Teaching 6th grade is something totally new and out of the ordinary for her since she has never taught about the 3rd grade. I will be doing children's photos to hang in the new Dell Children's Hospital here in Austin, TX. I have volunteered my services as a way to give back and inspire the children who are going through treatment at the hospital. I know that when I was going through my treatment inspiration was hard to find. The photos are for the 'Specially for Children clinic who will occupy a large part of the new hospital. The other project I am working on is also for the Dell Children's Hospital. I will be photographing Cancer Survivors and their photos will be hung in the new Lance Armstrong Survivor Clinic that will also be a part of the new hospital. I am so excited about these new projects. I will keep you up to date on how these turn out.
